Jeb Hurst is a 2019 SS/2B with a 6-3 175 lb. frame from Blaine, TN who attends Grainger HS. Tall and lean frame with lots of room to fill on the build. Ran a 7.57 second 60 yard dash. Primary shortstop, fields the baseball out in front with a higher gathering position, clean funnel up into body, flashed a quick release at times and the ability to throw from multiple arm angles, average arm strength topping out at 74 mph from across the diamond. Righthanded hitter, sets up with an even stance at the plate and hand set by his ear, strides into contact with a toe tap trigger, natural lift to path looking to drive, long swing path some extension through contact, developing feel for the barrel and squared contact currently, repeats mechanics well. Great student.
