Caden Grider is a 2021 2B/SS, OF with a 5-10 130 lb. frame from Kannapolis, NC who attends Northwest Cabarrus. Medium frame with a lean build. Frame projects to support additional strength. Primary second baseman, stays low while traveling to and working through the baseball. Funnels out front and worked through exchange with fluidity. Flashed good range to each side with the ability to manipulate arm angle while on the run. Primarily released from a compact three-quarters arm slot and created some on line carry to the bag at 72 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a slightly crouched, even stance and simple front side trigger. Stays on back side and works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Clean hand path to baseball with a slightly lifted barrel plane through extension. Displayed developing feel for the barrel while employing a mid field approach. Flashed best jump off the barrel when connecting with baseball out front and working to the gaps. Excellent student.
