Michael Skinner is a 2018 SS with a 5-10 157 lb. frame from Jefferson City, MO who attends Jefferson City HS. Slender young build, lots of room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, shifts his weight well into contact, very short and compact swing with tight hands to his body, uses his lower half well to help generate bat speed, line drive swing plane, will work the ball to all fields and handles the barrel well, high average approach that should continue to improve with additional strength. 7.56 runner, has good fundamentals in the infield, gets in front of the ball with good footwork and soft hands, works through the ball well, made accurate throws from multiple arm slots, arm strength is still developing but gets rid of the ball quickly. Well schooled young player who just needs to get stronger.
