Keaton Floss is a 2017 RHP/OF with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from West Des Moines, IA who attends Valley HS. Lean, athletic frame. Plenty of room for additional size and strength. Right handed pitcher with good balance throughout delivery. Long arm circle back with a high tempo three quarters arm slot at release. Arm works well with solid whip through extension. Front side tends to swing at times causing slight drag. Has good downhill plane when creating on line direction to the plate. Flashes occasional arm side run on fastball that topped at 79 mph. Curveball has 12/6 shape with loose spinning action and depth. Tends to slow arm action at times with curveball offering. Good tempo and arm speed on change up at 72 mph. Shows best command and movement when tempo is paced and balanced. Right handed hitter with a spead, balanced stance. Hands drop to a lower plane at load and attack the baseball on an uphill path. Shows leverage to the pull side gap with some backspin. Flahsed hand quickness and a compact swing when working the middle of the field. Tools should continue to develop on the mound and at the plate with future maturity and strength. Good student as well.
