Ryan Krout is a 2017 3B/OF/RHP with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Washougal, WA who attends Washougal HS. Medium-large frame with lean, athletic present build and good room to keep filling out. Hits with power-oriented approach, will drop back shoulder and collapse backside in attempt to elevate the baseball. Has strength in swing with good gap power to all fields, will develop more over the fence power as he continues to develop physically. Worked out defensively in the infield. Fields underneath the ball and gets to the ball well, charges cleanly with athleticism, shows solid arm strength across the infield up to 78 MPH. Pitched as well, shows balanced and easy mechanics throughout delivery, shorter arm circle to high three quarters slot. Fastball worked 78-81 topping at 82, gets downhill and generates plane, solid life on fastball with good control. Showed slider as well in low 70's, good tilt out of hand with sharpness, swing and miss potential. Very good student.
