Jackson Kelley is a 2018 3B/RHP/OF with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Anderson, SC who attends T L Hanna HS. Has a large frame, strong build, clear sign of present strength in body, looks larger than listed. Posted a 7.79 60-yard dash. From the infield, primary third basemen, showed good foot work and athleticism. Quick release and transfers, solid arm strength on throws across. At the plate, right-handed hitter that starts with an squared, upright stance and a hand set tight to the body. Simple load and weight shift, showed barrel control and keeps his hands inside the baseball. On the mound, simple, repeatable delivery, smooth mechanics, good rhythm and tempo, balanced and stays tall on backside with good direction to the plate. Loose arm action throwing from a 3/4 arm slot and creates some angle on the ball down in the zone. Fastball has some arm side run with good life. Curveball has 9/4 shape with sweeping action and good depth. Changeup has solid depth and good feel. Did a nice job of keeping hitters off balanced, currently grades out higher as a pitching prospect. Excellent student.
