Antonio Triest Escobar is a 2017 OF/RHP with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Berkeley, CA who attends Berkeley HS. Medium athletic build, has some present strength. Primary outfielder but graded out higher as a right handed pitcher at this event. Low hand delivery on the mound, high 3/4's arm slot, slow pace, tends to fall off to the first base side but still gets downhill with his pitches. Consistent low 80's fastball, topped out at 83 mph, mostly straight with good downhill angle. Curveball had tight spin and had sharp biting action frequently. Threw strikes and was effective. Right handed hitter, straight stance, upper half rotational swing, has some strength and developing bat speed, squared up the ball well and made solid contact. 7.73 runner, has sound outfield fundamentals through the ball, will need to improve his speed on the bases and on defense. Good student.
