Francisco Pedraza is a 2016 OF/RHP with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Alameda, CA who attends Alameda HS. Tall and lean athletic build, plenty of room to get stronger. 7.08 runner, young footwork in the outfield but has lots of athletic and defensive tools, is quick to the ball and has very good raw arm strength from a compact release. Right handed hitter, straight stance with a toe tap trigger, hits tall with a controlled drift into contact, loose and long swing, swings hard and creates some bat speed. Also showed prospect potential on the mound, tall leg raise delivery, calm low effort mechanics and release, mid 3/4's arm slot, arm works well coming through. Fastball topped out at 82 mph, more velocity their with physical maturity, tends to lower slot on curveball, showed a nice change up that was his most effective pitch, around the plate with all his pitches.
