Wesley Hardin is a 2018 SS/3B/RHP with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Columbia, SC who attends River Bluff HS. Medium to smaller frame, long legs, lots of room and time to get stronger. Right handed hitter, hits open, stays on his back side and has a pull oriented swing, has some loose extension out front, should continue to improve with additional strength and better direction to contact. Second base tools and actions on defense, 7.90 runner, has a low and tight release on his throws, developing arm strength, moves well laterally and especially to his back hand, has good hands and a quick transfer, charged the ball well. Also pitched, compact arm circle and tight 3/4's release point. Fastball topped out at 74 mph, sweeping curveball in the low 60's, showed some feel for his change up with good fading action. Good student.
