Mason Grotto is a 2017 2B/SS with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Clovis, CA who attends Clovis HS. Young slender athletic build, projects well physically. 7.40 runner, primary second baseman but played shortstop well in games, made a number of strong and accurate throws, has a good arm that should continue to improve. Right handed hitter, straight stance with a high deep hand load, level swing with some strength behind it, showed his power to the middle of the field, solid line drive contact, swings hard and looks to drive the ball. Projects in all areas of the game. Good student.
