Tyler Olmo is a 2018 LHP/OF with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from Ardsley, NY who attends Ardsley High School. Medium build, compact frame with broad shoulders and present strength. Left handed pitcher, starts tall on the mound, high leg raise, with a high three quarter delivery to over the top. Online delivery that could use more lower half involvement. Low 70's fastball that topped out at 72 with slight armside run. Threw low 60's curveball that flashed multiple planes and showed good depth. Confident in curveball, but did slow arm to throw it, can throw it for strikes. In the field, showed athletic actions at first base with solid hands and good footwork around the bag. At the plate, used a wide, open stance and flashed the ability to generate extension with hard line drive contact. Good student.
