Danny Torres is a 2016 SS with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from South Bend, IN who attends St Joseph's HS. Slender athletic build, plenty of room to get stronger. 7.40 runner, good middle infield actions, reads hops well and works through the ball, quick feet, smooth hands, quick exchange and release, some arm strength with accurate throws, can play the middle infield. Right handed hitter, big stride into contact, gets to his front side early, has some hand quickness, mid field to opposite field contact, showed the ability to turn on the inside pitch as well, showed patience in his game at bats and saw the ball well. Sound overall player. Good student. Named to the Showcase Top Prospect Team.
