Bryan Almanzar is a 2019 RHP/2B with a 5-5 134 lb. frame from Lehigh Acres, FL who attends Gateway Charter. Medium frame with slender, athletic present build; good projection remaining. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.95 seconds. Primary right-handed pitcher, high leg lift into delivery with good balance over rubber, throws exclusively from the stretch. Showed compact arm stroke through the back, throws from three quarters arm slot, fastball worked 65-71 MPH with slight cutting action. Showed curveball with 12/6 shape and good depth. Did better with increased tempo. Sets up to hit from narrow, even-based stance; squats into load, takes line drive swing plane with good shift into contact in lower half. Whole-field approach, willing to work to all fields at times. Worked out in the infield, funnels very deep with solid hands, moves well side to side, showed good accuracy across the diamond with throws clocked up to 68 MPH. Good student.
