Darren Aupperle is a 2016 3B/OF, 1B, SS with a 6-3 195 lb. frame from Barrington, NJ who attends Triton. Aupperle has a strong athletic build. Hits from a square stance with a wide base. Line drive swing plane, a bit long but produces solid line drive contact and carry off barrel. Good control and fell for barrel. Pull approach with solid contact. Showed lift in swing with good balance and extension. Defensively, from the IF, low slot with a loose arm action, fields ball out front and has carries on throws, shows good athletic actions. At first base, short arm action with accurate throws from a low slot. Feet work well around the base. Good Student.
