Jamison Arnold is a 2017 RHP/3B with a 5-10 190 lb. frame from Douglasville, GA who attends Chapel Hill. Medium, athletic frame with solid present build; projects well moving forward. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.55 seconds. Primary pitcher, compact delivery, small rocker step into leg lift, good tempo throughout with balance, uses lower half well and gets downhill. Throws from three quarters arm slot, creates good plane to the plate when down in zone, fastball worked 78-82 MPH with good arm side run. Showed 12/6 curveball with tight spin and sharpness, also showed slider with more later break, still had sharpness and bat-missing ability. Showed good command throughout time on mound and attacked hitters with confidence. Sets up to hit from balanced stance, simple shift into contact while maintaining balance, compact stroke with good leverage, squares the ball up and shows quality extension as well. Good strength in swing. Worked out in the infield, sits back on the ball and fields cleanly out front, has quick transfer and throws accurately across clocked up to 72 MPH. Good student.
