2015 Pitcher Catcher Indoor Showcase
Sam Nozicka is a 2016 C/MIF with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Grayslake, IL who attends Grayslake Central HS. Medium athletic build, some present strength with room for more. Right handed hitter, wide base with a reverse stride load, knee turn trigger, long and loose swing, has some bat speed and the ball comes off the barrel well, some lift/uppercut due to lower back side, handles the barrel well and makes solid contact. Good quickness and athleticism behind the plate, moves well laterally, quick release with a strong arm, remains balanced well, showed soft and quick hands handling some hard throwing pitchers, very solid overall catching tools. Good student.
