Anthony Montalvo is a 2018 2B/3B, SS, IF with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Chico, CA who attends Pleasant Valley. Medium frame with slender build; good projection remaining. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.47 seconds. Hits from wide-based stance with lots of momentum through swing mechanics, swing gets lengthy at times, draws hands back into load, shows ability to generate backspin, found some jump off the barrel into pull side gap. Worked out in the infield, quick and easy movements to the ball, positions himself well and attacks the ball, glove works well out front and makes very clean transfers, accurate arm across the diamond clocked up to 74 mph. Good student.
