Reid Potthoff is a 2017 SS/RHP.OF with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Eufaula, AL who attends The Lakeside HS. Nice athletic build, has some present strength with more to come. 7.36 runner, long and loose arm in the infield, makes accurate throws, charges the ball well, more third base actions but solid third base actions. Right handed hitter, tall and narrow stance, big hand hitch load, limited shift into contact, inside out swing path with limited extension, opposite field contact, has the strength to hit but needs to make swing adjustments. Also pitched, graded out best on the mound at this event. Long and loose arm action with good lower half use to the plate, high 3/4's arm slot and gets above the ball and downhill well. Fastball topped at 81 mph and can work it to both sides of the plate with angle. Curveball was tight with sharp 12/6 downer bite and shape. Very quick worker who threw strikes and had easy innings. Excellent student.
