Anthony Herron Jr. is a 2014 RHP/ with a 6-2 197 lb. frame from St. Louis, MO who attends Affton. Herron has a large athletic build. Short easy arm action to a high 3/4 arm slot. PItches downhill with clean mechanics. Has feel for 4 pitches. Fastball has good arm side run and is heavy. Curveball has 11/5 spin with tight hard action. His change up is straight and developing, has good speed difference, his best pitch is his split finger fastball, which drops straight down at plate. Velocity projects but high level pitcher now. Hit from a square stance, consistent swing, line drive swing, makes solid contact. Defensively, athletic actions, feet work well. Showed off his arm throwing 90 across diamond. Profiles as RHP in pro ball, and a two way guy in college. Named to Top Prospect List.
