Travis Carney -- Carney is a tall, strong and projectable athlete whose best tools right now are on defensive. He has good arm strength that’s going to get better and quick feet for his size that put him in good position to throw. Carney had quick pop times in the workout and made some quick, accurate throws in the 2.2 range in games as well. His receiving skills appear solid, too. Carney has the potential to be a much better hitter than he showed in Fort Myers. He has good bat speed and hand strength to work from but has a no load, soft stride, no trigger approach that leaves him late to the ball at times. If he makes some minor adjustments he’ll reap the benefits. Travis is a good student and an excellent prospect..
