Lynn is a medium framed sophomore from Ohio with a young body and features. He listed himself as a primary infielder and while he could very well develop as a position player, he really impressed us with his arm strength and pitching ability. Lynn threw 85 mph during infield, which puts him right near the head of the class for 2007 prospects. His arm strength translated very well to the mound. Lynn has a quick, loose arm and solid pitching mechanics. His stuff was very good; an 83-85 mph fastball, a 75 mph slurve and a nice sinking 71 mph change up. Most impressively Lynn was very poised, mature and in control on the mound. He could have a very high ceiling as a pitcher as he begins to physically mature and add strength. As a hitter, Lynn hits from a prounounced open to closed approach with a nice level swing and some bat speed for his size and age. He manipulates the bat head well and hits consistent line drives to all fields. One thing that might hold Lynn back as a position player is his speed, which is presently well below average. Keep an eye on this young prospect. Lynn is a good student, too.

Tim Lynn is a 2007 MIF/RHP from Wadsworth, Ohio, with a medium, strong build at 5'10", 150 pounds. He hits from a narrow, open stance and stays open during the swing. He needs to close down with his stride as he tends to get a little off balance on outside pitches. He has good bat control, and makes solid contact on the inside half of the plate. He generates a lot of bat speed, and the ball jumps off his bat. Defensively, he has plus arm strength topping out at 84 mph across the infield with solid carry. On the mound, he has a long arm action, and gets late movement on his fastball (79-80 mph). He also throws a 10-4, sharp breaking curveball at 64-66 mph. Tim is a strong kid with lots of potential, that will play at a high level of college ball, and a possible draft guy in 2007.
