Zach Burdi is a 2013 RHP with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from Downers Grove, IL who attends Downers Grove South HS. Tall lean athletic build, projects well. Quick loose arm action, low 3/4's arm slot, leg kick delivery, arm tends to be late coming through. Upper 80's fastball, touched 91 mph, mostly straight. Primary fastball pitcher, limited present feel for sweeping curveball and change up. 6.85 runner, athletic actions and fields his position well. Has plus arm strength to develop with adjustments and repetitions. Good student, verbal commitment to Iowa.
