Josh Stephen is a 2016 OF/LHP with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Chino Hills, CA who attends Mater Dei. Long athletic build, projectable body. Hits from a wide base, aggressive swing, good extension, consistent contact, line drive swing plane. Solid bat speed, short to the ball, potential to increase bat speed significantly with maturity over the next few years. Advanced hitter for age but still can make several adjustments to become an even better hitter, the tools are promising. Arm works well, athletic actions in the outfield, long arm action, good footwork, solid arm strength with more to come. Pitches from a three quarter arm slot, arm works, athletic delivery, fastball tails, deep 1-7 curveball with good shape. Interesting young player to follow. Very good student.
