Ryan Boldt is a 2013 OF with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Red Wing, MN who attends Red Wing HS. Very nice athletic build, has strength, looseness and projection. 6.46 runner, big range in centerfield, can go back to the allies well, strong on line accurate throws, good footwork. Left handed hitter, loose easy swing, quick hands, good extension out front, can drive the gaps, squares the ball up consistently, no problems handling velocity. Not quite as toolsy or strong as David Dahl (Rockies 1st round, 2012) but similar profile. Excellent student. Verbal commitment to Nebraska.
