Right handed hitter, strong hands, stays over his back side, has some lift in his swing, top spins the ball, good bat speed, some gap power, handles the barrel well, hits to all fields. Good infield actions, 7.03 runner, has lateral agility, quick exchange and release, soft hands, playable arm strength, takes charge out in the field, can play the outfield. Also pitched, back turn delivery, under rotates coming back around hurting velocity and consistency, mid 3/4's release, fastball to 81 mph, flat breaking ball, uses knuckleball as change up. Braxton Morris is a 2014 MIF/3B/RHP with a 5-10 140 lb. frame from Albertville, AL who attends Albertville HS. Smaller frame, young look. 7.40 runner, quick first step defensively, good balance and athleticism, throws have some carry, loose arm that projects with added strength, should keep improving. Right handed hitter, open stance, simple swing mechanics, good hands to the ball, some loose extension out front, makes consistent contact, all fields, will benefit from additional strength to drive the ball. Also pitched, fastball to 78 mph, curveball gets good sharp biting action at times, mixes it up well, needs to stay down in the zone more consistently. Good student.
