Will Gilbert is a 2012 LHP/OF with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from Morrisville, NC who attends Green Hope HS. Smaller build. Well paced on line delivery, lets his arm work, high 3/4's arm slot, compact quick arm, ball comes out clean and easy, repeats mechanics well. Mid 80's fastball, topped out at 86 mph, will occasionally muscle up and try to overthrow, will come into right handed hitters aggressively. Good feel for change up, will cut change up at times, curveball still needs work and consistency. Loose, very quick arm and some pitchability. Projects in a big way, as he gets bigger he should become an easy 90 mph lefty in college. Very good student.
