Matt Vaka is a 2014 RHP/OF with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from Tampa, FL who attends Plant HS. Big strong thick build, mature look. Very long extended arm action, high 3/4's to over the top arm slot, big arm swing, some effort on release. Mid 80's fastball, topped at 87 mph. Big downer curveball at 68 mph, some depth, difficult arm action to spin the ball from. 7.12 runner, right handed hitter, uses strength well, big bat speed and power potential, ball is loud coming off the barrel, hits out front and can drive the alleys, swings hard, Good student.
