Andrew Sharpe is a 2014 C/RHP with a 6-0 210 lb. frame from Odenton, MD who attends Riverdale Baptist HS. Thick prototypical catcher's build, combines strength with lower half looseness. Very sound defensive actions and tools, very good arm strength, consistent sub-2.00 pops, best 1.81 in drills, receives and blocks the ball confidently, has athletic actions and balance. Right handed hitter, simple hitting mechanics, contact approach with a short, quick path to the ball, squares it up well, line drive contact, will get out front and hit around the ball at times, aggressive approach. Also pitched, over the top arm slot, powers downhill, clean arm action. Fastball topped at 87 mph, has some late life and deception, power 12/6 curveball is a good pitch, sharp bite with good velocity and downward plane, threw strikes. Quality all around prospect. Verbal commitment to James Madison. Named to the Top Prospect Team.

Andrew Sharpe is a 2014 C/RHP/3B with a 6-0 210 lb. frame from Odenton, MD who attends Riverdale Baptist HS. Big frame, thick strong build. Solid two-way potential. Arm strength plays well behind the plate and on the mound. Popped a 1.97 in workout, can improve upon that with quicker release, good raw arm strength, posted 75 C velo in spite of not getting weight completely shifted through to front foot. Good bat speed at the plate, lacks extension, raw mechanics, good tools. Up to 84 on the mound from a three quarter arm slot, good arm strength, could get more from lower half, fastball tails, shorter arm action.
