Kiko Garcia is a 2014 RHP with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Chula Vista, CA who attends St Augustine HS. Stocky strong slope shouldered build. Low hand delivery, over the top release point, arm works well, good downhill plane, repeats delivery well on fastball and change up. Fastball to 89 mph, mostly straight with occasional cutting action, very nice arm speed and life on change up, drops release slot on curveball with limited spin/deception, may need to develop a slider in the future. Knows how to pitch and throws strikes, will take big step forward with improved breaking ball. Right handed hitter, big leg raise trigger, swings hard looking to lift and pull, shows raw power. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Pepperdine.
