Paul Lopez is a 2014 2B/OF with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Orlando, FL who attends The First Academy. Young athletic build, lots of room to fill. Has the raw bat speed to give optimism about future potential. Needs to improve timing, tends to get a late start to swing, manages to catch up because of bat acceleration but prevents him from driving the ball as well as he should be able to. Projectable power, has present strength to pullside good balance, interesting hitting prospect. Solid defensive skills, a little wasted motion to infield actions with an extra glvoe tap. Big crow hop from outfield, needs to work through the ball better. Has a chance to improve in all areas of his game, interesting young player to follow.
