Zack Chappell is a 2014 3B/RHP with a 6-3 165 lb. frame from Fort Myers, FL who attends Bishop Verot HS. Has a tall thin build with room to add strength. During the infield workout, showed solid actions with looseness in his arm while making accurate throws. At the plate, he displayed a smooth and loose swing with a line drive swing plane making consistent contact. He's short in back with a simple balanced delivery pitching from a 3/4 arm slot. He has a solid arm action and was aggressive with his fastball working down in the zone. Zack mixed in a 10-4 2 plane CB that had solid depth and was his out pitch. He is also a good student.

Straight stance, tends to step out on swing, low effort fluid swing, loose extension out front, mid field to pull contact, line drive swing plane, consistent swing mechanics, squares up consistently, patient game approach, should continue to improve with more physical strength. Sound defensive actions, good footwork to the ball, good on-line carry on throws, projectable actions. Also pitched, compact arm action, 3/4's slot, some effort on release, pulls off the plate. Upper 70's fastball, touched 80 mph, mostly straight, soft curveball spin, developing change up. Good student. Named to the Top Prospect Team.
