Ryan Olson is a 2013 RHP with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Covina, CA who attends Western Christian HS. Tall and slender young build, projects very well physically. Multi-part delivery, deceptive with lots of moving parts, repeats well for complexity, high 3/4's release, quick arm with good downhill leverage. Fastball topped at 91 mph, good late run and sink, hard spin on curveball with sharp downer break at times, confident in late sinking change up to left handed hitters. Best when mixing it up instead of muscling up, has three very solid pitches with life. Has the tools to keep improving. Very good student, verbal commitment to San Diego.

Ryan Olson is a 2013 RHP/ with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Covina, CA who attends Western Christian. Olson has a large frame with a high waisted very projectable build. He pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a long arm action. He works downhill well and pitches with some effort. He has a live arm with good arm speed and the ball comes out clean. Olson throws a curveball with tight spin and good downer break to it. He keeps his curveball down in the zone and threw it for strikes. He also throws a change up at 81 MPH with good fade and sink to it. It has good action and deception to it. Olson throws 3 pitches for strikes and projects well. Outstanding student.

Ryan Olson is a 2013 RHP/3B with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from LaVerne, CA who attends Damien HS. Medium athletic build. Unorthodox delivery mechanics. Works from stretch, Will change entire delivery on off speed pitches at times. Quality stuff and throws strikes despite delivery variables. Upper 80's fastball touched 91 mph, mostly straight but works low in the zone. Slider shows better spin and bite than curveball, might be same planned pitch with different delivery/release points, change up looks like split finger with tumble. Quality arm and dominate this outing. Excellent student, verbal commitment to San Diego.
