Lucas Hunter is a 2012 MIF with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Portland, OR who attends Central Catholic. Hunter is a slender and lean athletic build. Moves well on the infield, uses proper fielding technique, fields out front, hands and feet work, moves with balance and body control. Straight away stance at the plate with a quiet and simple approach to hitting, doesn't try to do too much. Shows bat speed and balance, good pitch recognition. He is a raw athlete with good tools to continue to develop, and will be an interesting guy to keep an eye on in the coming months. Showed well in game play. Good student.
