Kyle Kemp is a 2014 RHP with a 6-3 200 lb. frame from Port Charlotte, FL who attends Port Charlotte HS. Solid athletic build, good present strength. Side step back turn delivery, lots of moving parts but repeats well, high 3/4's release, tends to lean off at release. Steady fastball velocity, lots of 90's, mostly straight with good downhill angle, has some present command of fastball. Tends to shorten arm arch on curveball, flashes hard 74 mph curveball spin with depth at times, will need to develop more consistency on curveball mechanics. Has feel for change up with good velocity and late life. Will occasionally drop down to sidearm crossfire mechanics with 85-87 mph velocity. Exaggerated high hand set from stretch tends to cause issues with rushing arm action. Shows maturity on the mound and flashes three solid pitches. Good student, verbal commitment to Florida.

Pitches from a 3/4 arm slot, with a good arm action, has an arm that works, has a quick loose arm, smooth online balanced delivery, the ball comes out easy, works down in the zone. Fastball has arm side run to it, shows the ability to sink his fastball too, good life on his fastball, curveball has 11-5 break on it, works down in the zone, pounds the strike zone,. Is a excellent student and is a Florida commit.
