Mark Hammel is a 2014 RHP/3B with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from Cypress , TX who attends Cy Woods HS. Medium frame with good present strength. High leg lift delivery, extended arm action, arm works well, 3/4's release slot, some effort at release. Low 80's fastball, topped out at 84 mph, mostly straight, power mid 70's curveball with tight hard spin and deep 11/5 shape, curveball is a knee buckler at times, throws strikes and has an idea how to pitch. Right handed hitter, has some hand quickness, aggressive hitter who attacks fastballs, tends to pull off the plate at times, ball jumps when squared up. Good student.
