Devin Hairston is a 2014 IF with a 5-7 135 lb. frame from Lexington, KY who attends Tates Creek. Young, strong compact athletic build, body projects. Good present hitting tools, projectable bat. Short swing path, quick hands, surprising strength at contact for size, solid bat speed, good contact skills, smooth easy swing, impressive in-game at bats against high level pitching, has a plan at the plate. Did not run the 60 yard dash due to a groin injury but speed was apparent in games in spite of playing at less than 100%. Quick athletic defensive infield actions, quick release, arm works well with some projection, projects to be high level MIF prospect. Very interesting young prospect to follow.
