Slow tempo delivery, long arm circle, extended release from 3/4 slot. Smooth delivery, stays balanced. Pitches on downhill plane. Good arm action, ball comes out clean. Fastball has heavy sinking action. Loose arm action, throws easy. Good slider with sharp bite. Attacks hitters, repeats well and has mound presence. High level pitching prospect with bright future. Also, one of better hitters of showcase, power bat with aggressive swing.

Joseph Gatto is a 2014 RHP/1B with a 6-4 190 lb. frame from Hammonton, NJ who attends St Augustine College Prep. Tall lean athletic build with a lot of room to fill. Quick arm, uses frame to create good downhill leverage. Very projectable arm and body, good extension, good tailing action on Fastball. Good arm speed on straight Changeup, has advanced feel for age. Needs to be more consistent with downhill angle, coordination likely to improve as he grows into his frame and will give him good overall command of all 3 pitches. Showed interesting hitting tools as well with good bat speed. High upside young pitching prospect, projects well. Good student.
