Jacob Waguespack is a 2012 RHP/1B with a 6-4 200 lb. frame from Prairieville, LA who attends Dutchtown HS. Nice pitcher's build, long and lean with good projection. Standard delivery, over the top release point, severe upper body lean off the plate, steep downhill angle, loose arm out front. Steady 85-87 mph fastball, flashed 90 mph a couple of times, fastball straight. Soft spin on both curveball and slider, hard to spin ball from his release point, slider shows good shape at times and commands it well, some feel for change up. Threw 92 across the diamond from first base in drills, have to believe more arm strength is in there with delivery adjustments. Nice overall athlete, 6.96 runner. Good student.
