Anston is a 6-0, 175 lb left handed hitting senior outfielder from Florida. This young prospect has some very good present tools and is going to move up the rankings based on what we've seen. East Coast college coaches should also be very aware of Anston. He's a 6.60 runner in the 60, which is excellent. He also threw a solid college level 85 mph from the outfield during drills. With instincts, Anston has the tools to be a very good defensive outfielder. At the plate, Anston is an aggressive hitter with very good bat speed. He has the ability to wait on the ball and hit it deep in the zone with authority. Anston has deceptive strength in his hands and the ball jumps off his bat well. Since he has room to get stronger, it figures that Anston should just continue to improve as a hitter and he's already very good. In addition, Anston throws 84 mph from the mound as a left handed pitcher with a very hard and sharp 70 mph breaking ball. He's a better outfield prospect for us but if he weren't as talented as a player he would be a college pitching prospect, too. Anston is also a 4.00 student in the classroom. Very good prospect!

Robert Anston -- Anston is a 5-11 sophomore outfielder/pitcher from Florida. He’s a good athlete with very good hitting and running ability and well distributed and projectable strength throughout his body. Anston has a balanced approach at the plate with a fluid swing that has some loft to it. Anston showed us the ability to turn on the ball in batting practice. Added strength will definitely help Anston with the bat but he has a nice foundation to build from right now. Anston had a 76-78 mph fastball with good tailing and sinking action from the mound and he showed the kind of arm strength from the outfield that leads you to believe that he’s going to keep adding velocity. Anston has compact, very deliberate mechanics that help him throw good strikes with all his pitches. His best secondary pitch is a 69-71 mph change up that has very good deception to it. Anston also throws a 63-65 mph curveball. Robert is a very good student, too.
