John Curtiss is a 2011 RHP with a 6-4 190 lb. frame from Southlake, TX who attends Carroll HS. Tall projectable pitcher's build, some present strength, more to come. High leg kick delivery, full arm circle, hard front leg to get over, occasional balance issues on release, 3/4's arm slot, good downhill angle. Fastball 90-92, works bottom of zone with FB well, curveball is hard and shape, flashes plus power/bite, change up is still a bit firm. Power arm, will keep improving, high ceiling potential. Outstanding student, verbal commitment to Texas.
