Hunter Tipton is a 2012 RHP/1B with a 6-3 235 lb. frame from Taylorsville, KY who attends DeSales. XL frame, strong physical build. Pitches from a low 3/4 slot with long arm action. Strong arm, could use more lower half, loose arm action, more velocity in there. Fastball has good tailing action to arm side, breaking ball showed 10-4 diagonal break with tight spin. At the plate he showed easy bat speed and a good swing path. Needs to be more consistent with contact, big leg kick throws off timing, has raw power. Good student.

Hunter Tipton is a 2012 RHP/1B with a 6-4 215 lb. frame from Taylorsville, KY who attends Louisville DeSales. He has a tall, projectable build. He starts with a big leg kick and is online and down in the zone. He has good movement on his fastball, as it gets in on right handed hitters. Also, showed good downward break on 11/5 curveball, and flashed a couple of changeups. He has a good pickoff move, and fields the position well. He has a smooth, soft load at plate, and a quick bat. He has strength and the ball jumps off his bat. Good student.
