Jacob Stevens is a 2015 RHP/1B with a 6-3 215 lb. frame from Darien, CT who attends Choate Rosemary Hall HS. Large athletic build, strong with room to get stronger. Loose fast arm action, 3/4's arm slot, good extension out front on release, tends to loose lower body balance and direction at times. Mid to upper 80's fastball, topped out at 90 mph early, mostly straight. Nice change up from consistent slot with cutting action at times. Fair curveball spin with occasional 11/5 depth. Has the makings of three solid pitches. Very good student, verbal commitment to Boston College.
