Tom Stoffel is a 2013 OF/LHP with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Englewood, OH who attends Northmont. Medium frame with strength. Very good defensive outfielder with tools. high energy player who showed a good approach and clean hands during the workout. Strong arm with online carry. Velo up to 88. Good feet, arm and instincts during games. High level defensive outfielder with feel for all three spots. Left-handed bat that has high hands and a high back elbow in his approach. Does a good job of getting hands down to hitting zone and has a quick swing with balance and extension. Very good feel at the plate with ability to adjust to off-speed pitches. Compact, smooth swing with a looseness and a high finish. Very good pop to left-center field. Gets out of box and runs well. Good mechanics on the mound with an online delivery and an arm that works well. Excellent command and feel for a curveball and changeup. Very interesting player to follow. Very good student.

Left handed hitter, quick hands, aggressive swing, looks to pull, good raw bat speed, high extended finish, handles the barrel well, solid contact, good hitting tools. Aggressive to the ball in the outfield, on line throws, solid footwork. Also pitched, fastball to 85 mph, loose quick arm, some cross body on release, low effort arm action with good extension, good spin on slider, consistently sharp at higher velocities. Solid all around player, plays with energy. Good student. Named to the Top Prospect team.
