Chance Laboda is a 2011 C/1B, 3B with a 6-3 205 lb. frame from Seattle, WA who attends Bishop Blanchet. Laboda is a big strong kid, very broad chest and shoulders. Showed polished defensive skills behind the plate during the workout and looked even better in games, consistently throwing out runners and shutting down the running game. He sets up well behind the plate and receives well, showing good catch and throw skills and good arm strength from behind the plate. Accurate throws on the bag at second base. Slightly open stance and uses a long swing at the plate but he gets the barrel through the zone consistently. Uses strong lower half to generate power and will use all fields. Very good student.

Big target and sets up well behind the plate, moves well to block, solid receiver, has arm strength and throws carry, consistently on target to 2B. Slightly open stance, shows a good swing, stays short and takes hands to ball, creates consistent solid contact, has the size and swing to drive balls, power projects for him. Good student.
