Corbin Olmstead is a 2012 3B/RHP with a 6-3 200 lb. frame from Tampa, FL who attends Thomas Jefferson HS. Big strong mature build, especially in the lower half. Two-way prospect with higher pro ceiling on the mound. Side step delivery, simple pitching mechanics, arm works well, high 3/4's release point. Steady 89-91 mph fastball, fairly straight and often in the middle of the plate, big deep curveball has some bite and effective, nice change up with ideal arm speed, three solid pitches and command. Right handed hitter, likes and needs to get extended, swings hard, has bat speed and lift in his swing, power approach,. Arm strength plays well at third, hard online accurate throws, hands soft at the ball, will need to work on foot quickness for college 3B. Outstanding student, signed with North Florida.

Corbin Olmstead is a 2012 RHP/3B with a 6-3 210 lb. frame from Tampa, FL who attends Thomas Jefferson HS. Thick strong build, wide shoulders, physically mature. Slow paced side step delivery, hard effort release, pulls head off the plate, high 3/4's arm slot. Primary fastball pitcher, very good raw arm strength, fastball to 92 mph, mostly straight. Needs to develop off speed, soft sweeping slider, occasional big curveball. Right handed hitter, very spread stance, hands way back, long and strong swing, generates bat speed, can drive the ball to the middle of the field, bit long. Good feet and balance at third base, accurate throws, good arm strength. Arm to develop. Very good student.
