Wade McNabb is a 2012 C/1B with a 6-3 210 lb. frame from Evansville, IN who attends Memorial Catholic. Big, strong athletic frame. Offensive minded Catcher with potential both at the plate and behind it. Good raw defensive tools behind plate, good receiver with lateral agility, needs to add polish. Strong arm, good carry on throws, good footwork, can cut down on release time to improve pop time. Good strength at contact offensively, big leg kick throws off timing but has enough present bat speed to get away with it at this level. Hard pullside contact, power potential, hammered a line drive that registered at 90 mph off the bat against live pitching. Has tools to be high level hitter. Good student.
