Christopher Long is a 2011 C/IF, OF, RHP with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Zebulon, GA who attends Pike County. Athletic build. The arm and the bat speed stand out. Posted good pop times in the workout and in the games, good receiving skills and though his arm is impressive in the OF, his future is likely behind the plate. The all around raw tools are impressive, though he lacks the polish that you typically find in a prospect from Georgia. Showed good bat speed at the plate with an uppercut swing path. Got caught out front on occasion, it will take some work but he has high upside as a potential switch hitting catcher with power and he runs well. More polished from right side. Good student, committed to Columbus State.

Christopher Long is a 2011 IF/C/OF with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Williamson, GA who attends Pike County HS. Long athletic build, looks bigger/stronger than listed. Very versatile player, can play virtually all positions well, grades out best in outfield with strong arm, 7.10 runner, highest ceiling might be at catcher, good present footwork, very good arm, 1.93 best pop, arm plays well in MIF but footwork not as accomplished. Switch hitter as well, much better bat speed and feel for hitting right handed, looks new to hitting left handed. Good flow through contact right handed, solid bat speed, ball jumps well, hard line drive contact, shows some pop, little reason at this point to consider switch-hitting. One man roster defensively. Good student.
