Jose Dore is a 2010 OF/P with a 6'1'', 180 lb. frame from Kissimmee, FL who attends The First Academy. Slender athletic build, good wiry strength. Very good bat speed, quick hands, uses body well to generate leverage at contact, looking to pull the ball, still pulls off ball on occasion but much better at hitting under control. Top level OF tools, smooth easy arm with plus arm strength, on line accurate throws, also worked out in the infield and showed impressive athleticism. Lots of projection left. Signed with Florida State, but could go fairly early in the draft.

Jose Dore is a 2010 OF/P with a 6'1'', 180 lb. frame from Kissimmee, FL who attends The First Academy. Slender athletic build, quick twitch strength. Big coil hitting, reverse toe tap load, aggressive swing, plus bat speed at times, ball jumps hard, extends through ball well, hits the ball to all fields, tends to pull off ball at times, high ceiling hitting potential. 6.97 runner, long smooth arm, clean release, on line accurate throws, very good arm strength, easy overall actions. Also pitched, mostly 88 mph fastballs, throws easy, downhill plane, threw strikes. Good student, signed with Florida State.

Effort swing, very good raw bat speed, looks to lift/pull, explosion at the ball, very good extension out front, plus raw power. Excellent outfield arm, long release, right field tools. Also pitched, FB to 85 mph, raw mechanics, over the top release point. Good student.

Jose Dore is a 2010 OF/3B with a 6'0'', 170 lb. frame from Kissimmee, FL who attends Osceola high school. Dore is an athletic lean outfielder who showed a nice arm in LA. The tool that created the most interest was his bat. He attacks the ball with a nice controlled swing and displayed some serious power potential during BP. He definitely showed hitting ability. He is a player we will need to see more of as time goes on in order to get a good feel for his overall game. Dore is a good student and should be followed closely by DI schools.
