Jose Eduardo Baez Ramirez is a 2024 SS/ with a 6-3 168 lb. frame from Kissimmee, FL who attends . Recorded a 7.05 second 60-yard dash time. Extra large frame with a high waist, long limbs, and a ton of room to fill out and add strength. Primary shortstop who gathers and rounds the ball well. Good angles on approach and is smooth on the backhand. Snatches it nicely and controls body really nicely. Accurate from a lower slot with arm strength up to 83 mph across the diamond. Really stood out as a defender. Right-handed hitter with a high hand set, high back elbow, and lots of jump off the barrel. Easy bat speed and the ball explodes off the barrel when squared up. Lots of backspin and carry off the bat. Massive power upside and long term projection. Great student. Named to the PG Colombia Showcase TP List.
