Evan DeLuca is a 2009 LHP/OF with a 6'1'', 200 lb. frame from Whitehouse Station, NJ who attends Immaculata. Evan has a good strong pitchers build with outstanding presence on the mound. He gets good life on his fastball which topped out at 90mph at the Metrodome. He has good balance in his delivery and repeats well. He throws a nice change up with sink and fade and also shows good feel for his breaking stuff. He also threw 91 from the OF and showed athleticism by running a 7.05 sixty. Excellent 2009 LHP to follow very closely.

Evan Deluca is a 2009 LHP from Hunterdon Central HS, residing in Whitehouse, New Jersey, with a 6'1"/190 pound frame. DeLuca has a taller body with a good lean build. DeLuca pitches from a 3/4 arm slot and he uses an average length arm action. He has very good arm speed and his arm works well. DeLuca repeats his delivery well and and he has a smooth delivery. DeLuca's fastball has late sink and armside run on it at 89 mph. He also throws a tight slider on a 2/8 plane with good bite to it. DeLuca also mixes in a change-up at 74 mph. He has good stuff and has a high ceiling on the mound. At the plate, DeLuca hits from an open stance and takes a short stride to start his swing. He has quick hands to the baseball and looks to lift the ball in the gaps. Defensively, DeLuca has a strong arm from the outfield with good carry on his throws. He moves the the ball athletically and has sound defensive actions. DeLuca is a national level 2009 prospect.
